Ty and I have been wanting to rip up the carpet that has been in our house since we moved in (8 years ago) so since Ty's parents were taking the kids on Saturday for the day and night we decided to get that done. Ty ripped that carpet up and we took out the tack boards and staples and the hardwood is very nice so we got it all cleanned up and then we went out furniture shopping that was fun since we have never bought new furniture for our house. We finally decided on something and it will be delivered on Saturday. Some of you may know but the furniture that we had in there came from my mom's house and they probably bought it when we were in middle or high school so it has seen better days. Ty took today off to put the finish on the floors and we will now just wait for the new furniture to be delivered on Saturday. I will take some update pictures when the furniture arrives. This is the floor when Ty sanded it.

Looking good! Make sure you put your new furniture on those no slip things so it doesn't slide on the floor and mark it. We did not and my floors are very sad about it. I like the new look though. Very purtee
I know we were looking at them aren't they just felt pieces that go on the bottom of the furniture.
Well, they make all different kinds. Don't buy those ones that you peel off the back and they stick to your furniture. The felt kind. They aren't worth a lick.
We have some that are rubber squares and then your furniture's legs just sit inside it. It's something like this

I think we got ours from Meijers. First the crappy felt ones and then the rubber canister ones.
Thanks we will have to look for those tomorrow night.
